Understanding Pullman’s Groundwater – Project Update May 2026
Working with consultants, we recently completed a review of 1,147 public records from Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) related to groundwater contamination in Pullman and Lee Township.
These records document more than two decades of investigation, well testing, and remediation efforts connected to industrial chemical contamination affecting local drinking water wells. The review also found that while significant cleanup and monitoring work was completed, some planned remediation efforts were never fully carried out, and public records appear to end in 2011.
